Protect the home where life happens.
Seven out of ten Iowa homes have elevated radon. We help you test, understand your results, and fix the problem.
Schedule Your Home TestWhy Radon Matters in Iowa
Radon is a naturally occurring, radioactive gas that comes from the breakdown of uranium in soil. Because of our unique glacial soil, Iowa has the highest average radon concentrations in the United States.
It is completely invisible, odorless, and tasteless. When it seeps into your home and becomes trapped, long-term exposure significantly increases the risk of lung cancer. It is the number one cause of lung cancer in non-smokers.
Do I Need to Test?
Yes. Even if your neighbor's house tested low, your house could test high. Radon levels vary drastically from footprint to footprint. The EPA recommends testing every home below the third floor.
Common Entry Points
- ■ Cracks in solid concrete floors
- ■ Construction joints and foundation gaps
- ■ Cracks in basement walls
- ■ Gaps around service pipes and sump pits
- ■ Cavities inside block walls

What Testing Looks Like
Testing your home is completely unintrusive. We use Professional Continuous Radon Monitors (CRMs) that are perfectly silent and highly accurate.
- 01Day 1: DeploymentWe place the monitor in the lowest livable level of your home. Closed house conditions are required 12 hours before the test. Tech will confirm windows and doors are closed.
- 0248 Hours: MonitoringThe device continuously measures the air, taking hourly readings to establish an exact average. With closed house conditions,CLOSED-BUILDING PROTOCOL REQUIREMENTSFor tests of less than 4 days, closed-building conditions are required to begin 12 hours prior to the test.
MAINTAIN CLOSED-BUILDING CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT THE TEST PERIOD.

The detectors cannot be moved, covered or have their performance altered during the test. - 03Day 3: Instant ResultsWe retrieve the monitor and generate your easy to understand digital report immediately on-site.
If Your Result Is Elevated
Don't panic. High radon levels are extremely common in Iowa, and more importantly, they are completely fixable.
If your home tests above 4.0 pCi/L (the EPA action level), we will design a custom Active Soil Depressurization system for your home. We route PVC pipe from beneath your foundation to the exterior and install a premium Festa AMG fan to pull the gas out safely before it enters your living space.
The 2.7 Guarantee
Every mitigation system we install is guaranteed to reduce your home's radon below 2.7 pCi/L (the strict WHO standard), or we return at no charge until it does.
